Grant GAČR Transmission of Anti-Gender Radicalism within the V4

The proposed project investigates the transmission of anti-gender radicalism by right-wing political entities within the Visegrád Group (V4) countries—Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary—over the past fifteen years (2010 – 2024). It focuses on the role of individuals within political parties, movements and communities disseminating anti-gender radical views and discourses. Additionally, it will assess the impact of digital platforms, including social media and online forums, on the spread of anti-gender radical views. Simultaneously, the study will explore offline channels such as social gatherings and educational institutions in contributing to the dissemination of these ideas. External influences from transnational networks and global farright movements will be considered, as well as the cultural and societal factors influencing the transmission dynamics over time. The project will also analyze variations in the transmission of anti-gender radicalism among the V4 countries, identifying contextual factors contributing to these differences.
