Center of Security Studies Metropolitan University Prague in cooperation with the Security Studies Unit of the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Social Sciences of Masaryk University organized regular spring student conferences on security topics for eleven years between 2008 and 2019. The main aim of the conference was to give students of MUP, MU and other Czech universities an opportunity to present their research on current security topics. Due to a significant decrease in the interest of students in the presentation at this conference, we decided not to organize further years. However, we interpret this positively – the previous eleven years of our conference have already enabled students to sufficiently profile themselves to deliver presentations at established academic conferences in the field and there is, therefore, no need to hold a special student conference.
